Autograph letter signed : 11 Sussex Gardens, to her father, 1847 June 21.

Saying she has just received from Mrs. Paget a very kind letter saying that she is not expected at Sutton. At the Chiswick Fête there were "14000 persons of the best society," the Ladies being "almost completely dressed in Ball costumes," with four hands playing and fruit and flowers "beyond compare." She saw the Gadesdens and other friends. Today she is going to see the Bushmen "who are I fancy not much removed from wild beasts." She will go to the city as Mrs. Ewart and others, and "for a wonder," has had a letter from Mrs. Ruskin. On blue-edged paper.
